The company’s focus has now shifted completely towards electric vehicles, and many new plans are underway for this. At present, Hero has only Vida V1 electric scooter, but now the company is also going to bring its most popular model Hero Splendor Electric version.
Hero Splendor Electric Plan
Hero has prepared to launch the company’s most popular low-end bike Hero Splendor Electric in 2027. According to the information, this project has been in the works for the last 2 years at the company’s Technology Center, CIT, located in Jaipur. According to sources, the project has been named AEDA, and it will be introduced as a great electric commuter bike, which will also be sold in India and the global market.
How will Hero Splendor Electric be special?
Hero Splendor is one of Hero’s best-selling bikes till date, which the company is now going to launch with its electric version and promise to give the same trust and performance among the people that customers expect from this bike. Under this project, the company plans to sell about 2 lakh units annually. This proves that the company has planned a strong future for this bike.
Hero’s multi-bike plan
Apart from the Hero Splendor Electric, Hero MotoCorp has several other electric motorcycle projects. The Vida Lynx, an electric dirt bike, may be launched in 2026. It is being designed specifically keeping the international market in mind, and its annual sales target is 10,000 units.
Apart from this, under the AEDA project, Hero is also planning to introduce two electric motorcycles equivalent to 150cc and 250cc. These models are being designed mainly to attract the youth. The special thing is that these models will get the same style and power as ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) bikes, which can make them popular among the youth.
Hero’s Electric Vehicle Future
Hero MotoCorp aims to achieve annual sales of half a million units from electric vehicles by 2027-28. The company’s plans include both scooters and motorcycles, and through these Hero is hoping to strengthen its hold in the Indian market. Motorcycles will contribute 2.5 lakh units every year, while scooters are expected to contribute 2.5 to 3 lakh units.
